National Polytechnic now offers an Associate of Science degree in Homeland Security

February 9, 2007National Polytechnic College of Science is pleased to announce the offering of an Associate of Science degree in Homeland Security. This two-year degree program is offered entirely online and is designed to give you a competitive advantage to enter or move ahead in a high-demand career.
The associate degree is comprised of 90 quarter credit units. Core courses include:
- Introduction to Homeland Security
- Homeland Security and Law Enforcement
- Homeland Security and public Health Issues
- Emergency Management
- Seaport Security
- Principles of Investigation
- International and Domestic Terrorism
- National Preparedness
- Intelligence and Information Sharing
- Critical Infrastructure Production
In addition, students must complete 30 quarter units in general education, which may also be taken online through National Polytechnic College of Science or which may be transferred from other qualifying academic institutions. Courses are offered in a five-week format with convenient, 24/7 course accessibility.
