Credits/Hours: 6 Credits
The overhead (4F) position is the most difficult to perform underwater and requires the utmost in craft skill and weld pool control. Students are challenged constantly to perfect their full range of wet welding techniques. The final segment of this course is devoted to preparing the student diver/welder to obtain a welder performance qualification in accordance with the testing and acceptance criteria of AWS D3.6, Specifications for Underwater Welding, Class B fillet welds.
Prerequisites: WT206 and approved physical.
