This course provides practical in-water application of the theory and skills learned in prior courses with an emphasis on safety and proper technique. Students review personal dive gear (including helmets and masks), dive equipment, and dive tools used in the industry. The student progresses through several underwater tasks to build confidence and experience with commercial diving gear. The student learns dive station set-up, responsibilities of supervisors, lead tenders, divers, tenders, advanced diving safety, underwater problem solving, pre-dive safety inspections, and dive gear field maintenance. Instruction and projects are offered to develop teamwork and coordination with fellow divers.
Prerequisites: DV112, DV114, DV115, DV117, DV122, DV124, and approved physical.
