Credits/Hours: 3 Credits

Students learn to safely check, start up, operate, shut down, troubleshoot, and maintain a diesel-driven compressor as typically used at a surface-supplied dive station. Students learn the purpose and operation of the valves, gauges, hoses, and other parts that make up a dive station. Students practice making up a diving umbilical, installing fittings on hoses, checking and repairing radio communications equipment, and properly filling a diver's backup air supply.
