Overview
This course provides theoretical and practical training in the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and in transcutaneous oximetry monitoring. The graduate will be able to discuss the currently accepted methods and standards for safe and clinically effective use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The course meets the standards set forth by the National Board of Diving and Medical Technology (NBDHMT) and meets the academic requirement for the Certified Hyperbaric Technologist.
Class Hours
Classes are held Monday through Friday, or on two Saturdays and Sundays and one Friday, 8am - 6pm.

Requirements
Industry Certifications
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) upon completion of the requirements of the NBDHMT, such as additional hours in clinical chamber experience and passage of the NBDHMT examination.

This course provides the first step toward an entry-level position as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT).
