Course provides detailed instruction in advanced billing and coding courses for clinical use including: coding systems: ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, coding guidelines for inpatient services, basic coding guidelines for outpatient services, and diagnostic coding and reporting requirements for physician billing, the CPT manual, modifiers in CPT coding, the CT manual, the ICD-9-CM manual, coding guidelines for inpatient services, basic coding guidelines for outpatient services, and diagnostic coding and reporting requirements for physician billing, function of DRGs, the RBRVS system, and APS, third-party reimbursement. Includes a hyperbaric billing and denials seminar.
