Course describes the three phases of wound healing, the characteristics of pressure ulcers utilizing the staging method, five components in a wound assessment, four principles of topical therapy, and the importance of proper documentation. Includes basic aseptic technique, wound cleaning, dressing types and application techniques, hazardous waste disposal, and medical photography.

Prerequisites: MT281 and 282 (or equivalent), MT285, and MT286.
