Construction managers apply management techniques to the planning and construction of a project in order to complete the project while meeting the cost and time budgets.   There is a demand by construction industry for individuals who possess skills and knowledge in the management, technological, economic and environmental aspects of construction projects.

Individuals often begin their careers in a variety of entry-level positions involving construction estimating, construction safety, construction project management or building code compliance with specialty trade contractors or general building contractors, architectural, engineering and related service firms, and local governments.   The Associate of Science degree in Construction Management allows students to qualify for a variety of project management positions at design-build, construction management, general contractor and subcontracting firms.
