Housing and Job Placement Services
Students may seek advice and counseling from the Student Services Coordinator regarding employment and housing while attending College.
Housing
The College does not provide housing. However, the College's Housing Coordinator endeavors to provide information about available housing in neighboring communities. Should a student choose to make use of this service and thereafter contract with one of the housing referrals provided by the Housing Coordinator, the student assumes full responsibility for all obligations provided for in the rental agreement. This includes the maintenance of the physical condition of the property at the same level as at the time of entering the rental agreement and the timely payment of rent. Students are forewarned that failure to either pay rent on time or to maintain the property at a level satisfactory to the landlord may be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct (Section 6: Student Conduct). As such, where such violations exist, the College reserves the right to dismiss any student when the action is deemed necessary and is in the best interests of the College and all concerned.
New students desiring housing assistance should contact the Housing Coordinator for information about available housing before arriving at the College. Many apartments require the first month's rent plus a security deposit. Some utility companies require a deposit that must be paid before utilities are turned on. Most apartments do not allow pets, and pets are not allowed on campus. Students often share housing to reduce rent and transportation expenses.
