Personal Statement

Mr. Rubio received his Associate of Science degree from the College of Oceaneering and his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from National University.  With over five years of underwater inspection experience with Oceaneering International, he has worked as a diver, ROV Pilot, and Field Supervisor for Oceaneering's Marine Engineering and Construction Group, Entertainment Systems Group, and Remote Interventions Group.

Prior to returning to the College as an instructor, he was employed by Divecon as a Field Engineer and ROV Pilot/Diver. Trained to the degree of Level II in visual weld inspection, Mark also holds ASNT Level III in ultrasonic shear wave, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant.  He also holds a Certified Welding Inspector designation from the American Welding Society.

Mark is the Interim Department Chair of the Non-Destructive Testing (SpecTech) program at the College and is located at the San Diego campus.
